I only care to remember "where" I have been so that I don't forget "how" I got there.

----I have forgotten how writing has been so therapeutic for me in the past. There's something about releasing all the thoughts and emotions that can't be said through basic conversation but through the written word.

After the death of her husband by accidental overdose, this artist took a 2 yr hiatus from the industry. definetely understandable. However, im very glad shes back. Her name is Corinne Bailey Rae.
listen to her singles, "closer" and " i'd do it all again" to get a taste of what the album THE SEA sounds like.
i love her voice, so angelic and smooth, she belongs from in different decade.

you kno how everyone remembers exactly where they were when something monumental in life occurs?
911- i was in my highschool homeroom.
Death of MJ- sitting behind my desk @ work.
well, the death of Alexander Mcqueen was no different. i was sitting in my Fashion Product Knowledge class when a student announced his death. speechless. absolute silence. another moment in life that is forever engraived.
I remember falling in love with his theatrics in 2005 when he revealed his S/S collection, the models acted as human chess pieces. I was hooked ever since.
McQueen wasnt just a fashion designer, he was an artist. Never failed to bring amusement and magic to a show. kept us all very entertained.
Im happy he left us an amazingly breathtaking s/s RTW2010 collection to keep up satisified for many years to come.
Such a genius. RIP

well, she's been back for a while now with an amaaaaaazing album. I ipod her tunes almost every day!
With Every Heartbeat was the first song i heard and i instantly luhoved it. I just had to share it with you all. Such a good im-not-gon-cry-about-you-leaving-me song. i'm tired of hearing the same old slow, tear out your heart and cry yourself to sleep break up songs (**ahemboys 2 menahem**)
ladies, if you feel like dancing after that ruthless mofo broke your heart, DO IT!

time to talk about my celebrity obsession. I in fact have 2 but we will leave Janet Jackson for another day. fashionably speaking the never-can-she-do-any-wrong miss ashley olsen. I simply love her. how she manages to look so graceful and elegant in all her style choices is beyond me. Her outfits always look so effortless and chic. Can't always say the same for MK, sorry hun. but is MK really anyone's favorite twin?
Not only is she timeless and impeccably put together but thank god she's never caught exiting a $100,000 car sans panties like most of hollywoods "rolemodels". Come to think of it, I dont think she's ever been captured in or even near a car? doesn't it seem like Ashley's always walking the streets of NYC?
Speaking of NYC, Ashley and MK debuted their The Row collection for the first time on the runway this week. Just as expected, the line was polished. seasoned in blacks. leather accents. and leather elbow gloves paired with capped sleeves. i was not dissapointed however wished there were more then the 20 pieces they offered. Kinda like a cupcake with no icing. such a tease girls.

Ok, so it was taking me a while to figure out how to start off this new adventure of mine; BLOGGing. Should i introduce myself? Does anybody really care? Then it dawned on me...a DUH!, it's Mercedes Fashion week, right now, in New York City. Wouldn't that be the obvious grand opening?! I've posted a couple of shots from my fav RTW lines for Fall 2010. Luv luv luv Marchesa and Proenza Schouler. you cant really go wrong with a name like Proenza Schouler...Marchesa's collection nearly stopped my heart, if i could post the entire collection i would, and i should. however, visit style.com to see what i mean.
